Career Synopsis

  • The 2025-26 school year is Briggs's eighth season at Heidelberg University, seventh as head coach
  • Briggs was promoted to the full-time head coach on January 30, 2020 after having been named interim head coach on June 27, 2019
  • Previously served as Heidelberg's full-time assistant coach for one season
  • Began tenure as Heidelberg's Senior Woman Administrator in January of 2023
2024-25
  • Coached the team to a 20-20 record, 7-11 in the OAC
  • Guided three players to All-OAC honors: First team selection, Gabbie Stallbaum, second team selection Emma Dean, and Honorable Mention Ellie Tressler
  • Coached Heidelberg's first ever OAC Player of the Year in Stallbaum
  • Guided Stallbaum to NFCA First team honors for the second season in a row
  • Saw seven players earn Academic All-OAC Honors

2023-24

  • Guided the team to a 14-26 record, 7-11 in the OAC
  • Coached three All-OAC honorees - Gabbie Stallbaum (First Team), Caitlynn Newlen (2nd Team) and Ellie Tressler (Honorable Mention)
  • Guided Stallbaum to an NFCA All-Region First Team honor
  • Saw 12 players earn Academic All-OAC honors
2022-23
  • Led the team to a 17-22 record overall, 7-11 in the OAC
  • Mentored three All-OAC honorees -- second team honoree Jessica Voitko and honorable mentions Emma Dean and Gabbie Stallbaum
  • Guided Dean to an NFCA All-Region honor  
  • Had a league-leading 16 student-athletes earn Academic All-OAC accolades
2021-22
  • Guided Heidelberg to a 20-16 (9-9 OAC) record
  • Coached Kat Brady, Meghan Bame and Emma Dean to All-OAC honors
  • Mentored Brady while earning CoSIDA Academic All-District honors
  • Led Brady and Dean to be named to the NFCA Division III All-Region team
  • Had ten student-athletes selected to academic All-OAC -- the second most honorees in the OAC 
2020-21
  • Captained the Student Princes to a 15-21-1 record in the shortened season
  • Coached Leah Bouillon, Emma Dean, Kat Brady, Shelby Miller and Brooke Lewis to All-OAC honors
  • Mentored nine student-athletes to academic All-OAC recognition
2019-20
  • In first season as head coach, led HU to a 9-3 record in shortened season
2018-19
  • Assisted in leading Heidelberg to a 14-22 (6-12 OAC) record
  • Mentored Casey Moore and Kennedy Conney to All-OAC accolades
  • Guided nine players to Academic All-OAC honors
2017-18
  • Served as the graduate assistant for the University of Indianapolis softball team
Collegiate Experience
  • 2016 graduate of Grand Valley State University, where she played as a first baseman and catcher
  • Was a three-time All-GLIAC Academic honoree
